Scandinavian Communities has a full-time position for a RN WELLNESS DIRECTOR. We are a small Assisted Living Community in the Providence/Kent County area. Competitive Wages, Health, dental and vision insurance, and a full benefit package.

REQUIREMENTS: Must be COVID Vaccinated (Primary series). Registered Nurse (RN) with Rhode Island License with at least one year experience. Assisted Living experience preferred. CPR certified.

SUMMARY OF JOB: To coordinate, evaluate, and document the nursing care needs of the Assisted Living Community residents based on the knowledge and skill level equivalent with education and training of a Registered Nurse (RN). This position requires a highly skilled individual, who is reliable and able to function effectively. Conduct pre-admission health screening and cognitive assessment of potential residents. Administer medications to residents in accordance with written orders of a Physician, Physician’s Assistant, or Nurse Practitioner. Monitors health indicators according to Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) regulations for RNs. Direct, supervise, train, and evaluate Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), Medication Aides, and Licensed Nurses (RNs and LPNs). The RN Wellness Director is accountable for the quality of nursing care given to residents through the process of delegation. Be available for emergency medication/medical advice during working hours and by cellular phone seven (7) days per week when emergency situations occur except on days requested off. Other duties and activities may be assigned by the Assisted Living Administrator.
