Assuring safety can be difficult in these times. Recent national reports remind us that the risk is real. Violence is not predictable in any workplace. Discussing “what if” isn’t always easy but it’s important. As a long-term care provider, your greatest responsibilities are for your residents’ and staff well-being. Moral and ethical obligations aside, you are required by law to provide a community where everyone is safe and feels safe. Whether it is an active shooter that finds their way into your building, an individual being harassed, or staff-to-staff bullying, would you be prepared?  Do you have the appropriate policies and procedures in place?

This session will introduce the different types of workplace violence, address the similarities and differences between them, and better prepare you for unthinkable.
Our interactive forum will also focus on case studies and real-life application.  Our panelists are experts in the field of risk management, active shooter training, and workplace safety & security.
