Active Shooter & Workplace Violence Prevention Training (3.0 CEUs)

Join RIALA at American Safety Programs & Training for an in-person, practical training focused on active shooter response, workplace violence prevention, situational awareness, and verbal de-escalation—aligned with key safety expectations and commonly recognized compliance standards.

This course will be led by Scott A. Hemingway, CHPA, a seasoned security and threat-assessment professional and Director of Security & Parking at Kent Hospital, with prior leadership overseeing complex healthcare security operations across multiple hospital systems. A retired Rhode Island State Police Lieutenant (23 years) and former leader of the Governor’s Protection Detail, Scott brings real-world experience from S.W.A.T., hostage negotiation, threat assessment training, and extensive security risk assessments.
